The starting point is in Obergurgl at the Gurgl Carat. Before the church, follow the path towards the Gurgler Ache. Follow the well-signposted paths through the idyllic meadows of Gurgl until you reach the valley station of the Hochgurgl cable car. From there, an exciting ride along the toboggan run awaits before reaching a wide forest road. Now you reach a crucial point: the intersection of routes #689 Hochgurgl-Wurmkogl and #6053 Kirchenkar. Turn right and steadily ascend along the gravel road until turning right again. The further ascent offers no respite. In the south, the Dolomites seem within reach, while the Ötztal Alps lie to the north. The Top Mountain Star is only open in winter, so provisions are essential for this tour. In terms of riding, the descent offers plenty of high-speed and flow. Choose the right-hand path for the descent. Then follow the same route back to Obergurgl. The last stretch from the Hochgurgl cable car valley station to Obergurgl is relaxed and can be used to cool down.
